Motion is one of the best clubs in Bristol, and was voted as the 11st best cub in the world by DJ Mag. It’s a Victorian warehouse turned skate park turned famed nightclub, which has become one of the city’s hotspots for live music and clubbing. Big acts like Calvin Harris, The Chemical Brothers and Mix Master Mike (Beastie Boys) have performed there, contributing to Motion’s legendary status.
The club has a mix of music events held each week, largely on the electronic spectrum. It’s one of the best places for students, ravers and House lovers to head to, as well as the top DJs from the UK and abroad. Fatboy Slim, Just Jack and Cream continue to make regular appearances across the many warehouse spaces of Motion. Motion also hosts different events such as bingo nights and all-day prosecco and pizza parties.
Motion is a 2,200 capacity venue made up of four rooms and a huge outdoor courtyard, where much of the summer action takes place. It’s located in the industrial part of Bristol, close to the River Avon and the Temple Meads Station.

It is then approximately 10 minutes’ walking distance to reach the club. For those driving to Motion, there is no onsite parking however Temple Meads Station, Temple Quarter and Temple Gate car parks are a short walk from the venue.
Motion strives to be accessible, where all rooms are wheelchair accessible and has 2 disabled alarmed toilets. There is a changeable disabled viewing area which is positioned according to stage layout and capacity.
Carers are also permitted to attend events free of charge subject to availability.
