About

No other club in Manchester could be more symbolic of the city's music scene. Factory or FAC251 is housed in the old Factory Record office, which served as an independent record label from 1978. The label wore the names of Happy Mondays, New Order, Joy Division and more, and today FAC251 tributes those names as a vibrant live music space and nightclub. According to the venue's owners, Factory's mantra is about giving something back. It aims to transport Manchester's musical heritage to the new generation of music-lovers, recreating the community around the record label of the past decades. Many up and coming and well-known artists play there today, as well as live DJs keeping the party going. It remains an intimate space, allowing you to get up close and personal with the music and truly feeling the city's 'creative pulse'. The venue celebrates diverse music, comprising indie, electronica, rock and more. It suitably has three rooms to cater to its different styles, including 'The Bassment' downstairs, 'The Loft' in the old office space on the first floor and 'The Boardroom' on the second floor. Each room also has a distinctive style, ranging from grimy and gritty to chic and stylish. They further add to the clubbing and gig experience with fantastic modern sound and light systems.
