The multi-talented star from Australia has appeared on screen and on stage, but is arguably best known for his music. Troye Sivan has been compared to the likes of Taylor Swift for his catch pop anthems and has collaborated with Ariana Grande and Martin Garrix on his own tracks. His album ‘Blue Neighbourhood’ became an iTunes sensation as it reached number one in multiple countries within hours in 2015. It was recently succeeded by ‘Bloom’ in 2018, which reached the top five in US, Australia and New Zealand charts.
Sivan began his musical journey in 2006, where he sang alongside Guy Sebastian of Australian Idol. He also participated in StarSearch 2007 and after collaborating in various musical projects, was signed to EMI Australia in 2013 on his 18th birthday. His first five-song EP, TRXYE, debuted at number one in many countries, showcasing his immediate following. Sivan has since grown in his musical style, using his personal life to inspire his work and working with world-renowned artists.
Beyond music, Sivan has dabbled in other disciplines of the performing arts. He took on the role of Oliver Twist in 2007 and a year later was cast as a young Wolverine following his success on YouTube. He has recently starred in the coming-of-age drama ‘Boy Erased’ released November, 2018.
Born in 1995 in Johannesburg, South Africa, Sivan moved to Perth Australia at the young age of two. He has grown to become an internet, TV, Hollywood and musical success, having embarked on three tours so far with another scheduled for September 2018.
