The Libertines

Biography

The English rock band from London have had one of the most successful careers in British rock in the recent years. Leading the band were duo Carl Barat and Pete Doherty who throughout their career performing in The Libertines have had some fundamental differences and fallouts. The band material soon became widely popular and very successful in the charts. Getting a number 1 spot for their debut album and their second album was voted the second best album of the year by NME. However Doherty's drug taking and the arguments with Barat forced the band to split. The band reunited in 2010 for a number of shows and in 2015 singed a new record deal and another set of tour dates for their new album “Anthems for Doomed Youth”.
