Biography

The 1999 British nu jazz group Cinematic Orchestra are a six-piece band, famous for their improvisations, turntabling and electronic elements. Their 1999 debut Motion gave them critical success and a future of performing at the Director's Guild Awards ceremony, and writing a new score to Dziga Vertov's classic 1929 Russian silent film Man with a Movie Camera. The downtempo band have more recently set up their own independent label Motion Audio. Catch Cinematic Orchestra this summer at Glastonbury and multiple festivals across Europe. The band also have some UK shows.
