Peace

Biography

Compared to the likes of The Macabees and Vampire Weekend, the Worcester ensemble have made their mark on the English indie rock scene. Peace have previously performed at Leeds and Reading festivals, alongside The Libertines and Arctic Monkeys, and are now back on stage with their latest UK tour ‘Kindness is The New Rock and Roll’. The tour is named after their upcoming album, which features ‘Power’ and ‘From Under Liquid Glass’, and the new single ‘You Don’t Walk Away From Love’. The Brummy gang of four have scheduled several dates across the country throughout May, excited to deliver their new material to fans. Their latest work is believed to have been inspired by recent political events, which frontman Harry Koisser admitted to writing in solitude in the countryside. Speaking with NME, he stated that it was hard to not be creative and take inspiration from everything that’s happening. The material is the first under the band’s new label, Ignition, having previously been signed to Columbia Records after the release of their first single in 2012. Since the early days, Peace has received praise from NME, The Guardian and BBC, with the latter nominating the group for the Sound of 2013. Kindness is The New Rock and Roll will showcase their latest voice, as the tour kickstarts in Glasgow in early May, making its way round the UK before concluding in Birmingham.
