Lucy Spraggan

Biography

In 2012 Lucy Spraggan left the British televised singing competition The X-Factor due to illness, subsequently finishing ninth place and second in her category. Despite that, the young singer-songwriter managed to break into the UK’s Top 40 singles chart with her independently released ‘Top Room At The Zoo’, making her the first ever contestant to hit the Top 40 before the show even aired. After leaving The X-Factor, Spraggan secured herself a contract with Columbia records, and released her debut album ‘Join the Club’ in October of 2013. In 2015 she signed with CTRL records, and released her third studio album ‘We Are’, and her fourth studio album ‘I Hope You Don’t Mind Me Writing’ was released in January of 2017, peaking at no.2 on the UK Independent Albums chart.
