Kent Spitfires are having a cracker of a season so far reaching the final of the Royal London One-Day Cup at Lord’s. There’s a fantastic team spirit in the camp which will be taken into the Vitality Blast competition throughout July and August. They start our home campaign on Friday 13th July against Hampshire at Beckenham before heading back to The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence for Canterbury Cricket Week from 20th July – 27th July. Kmfm DJs, Laura Crockett and Andy Walker will be co-hosting during Canterbury Cricket Week, and with lots of promotions, there’s something for everyone. Representing the historic county of Kent, Kent CCC has won the County Champion seven times in their over 150 year career. Since their establishment in 1842, the club has led a successful career and have competed in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England, with most of their games taking place at their home of the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury. The ground also plays host to the Canterbury Cricket Week, the oldest cricket festival in England. As well as their successful division one team, Kent's women's team has won the Championship a record seven times including their most recent win in 2016, with three wins at the Women's T20 as well.
