Working with and without his Mercury Music Prize-winning group the XX, Jamie XX established himself as a forward thinking solo producer at the for front of electronic music gaining extreme credit from other pioneer producers in this field. Born Jamie Smith in Putney London, he began his career playing the drums but after realising he couldn't use his innovation and skills on the instrument.
He soon got a taste for Remixing Pop classics after the success of his reworking on his own bands tracks. Remixes of Adele, and Florence and the machine grabbed the attention of the masses and his atmospheric version of “You've got the love” brought his solo career into the centre of attention. Following this success he was asked to remix rap pioneer Gil Scot-Herons I'm New Here' in 2011 which became one of the most respected remixes of a classic album in the Electronic Music Industry. Since then he has worked with likes of Drake, Rihanna, Radiohead and Alica keys, becoming top of the list for Pop stars to turn to for some inspiration and Co producing.
