There’s no night more atmospheric than the 5th November. Whether it’s feeling cosy around a bonfire, watching a mega fireworks display, or chomping on a toffee apple after a fairground ride, the night is one of the most magical in Manchester.
The city’s Bonfire Night festivities bring plenty to keep you warm through the winter weather. One of the most popular events takes place in Heaton Park, a short drive from Manchester’s city centre. It’s one of the biggest celebrations in the region, promising a giant bonfire, huge fireworks display, a funfair and lots more. You can also climb Heaton Hill for fantastic views overlooking the park.
If you’re more of a South Manchester type, you can always head along to one the city’s many other parks. Platt Fields Park or the Carlton Club are all great options to enjoy Bonfire Night in Manchester. Of course, we don’t blame you if you want to sack off the Bonfire Night festivities entirely and enjoy the evening with a winter warmer. After all, not all of us want to stand shivering in a muddy field. You can do that at luxurious clubs like Cloud 23 or at one of Manchester’s many music venues. Just have a browse through our list of Bonfire Night events in Manchester and decide for yourself.
