Best Events in June in Manchester

Summer is officially here! Still, we have to keep our fingers crossed that the weather holds out… Knowing Manchester, it could rain until it floods or bake us until it’s uncomfortably hot. Either way, it’s still a great time to get out there and make the most of it.

For many, June can mean heading out with the kids to take part in all manner of activities. It can mean going on holiday, meeting up with friends for weekend getaways and of course, trying to tan even just a little.

Thankfully, Manchester makes for a great place to do all of those things (well, maybe not the tan)! So, take your pick of one of the great things coming up and get out there.

Sometimes, the summer heat can definitely be too much. Instead, why not lock yourself away in a cool dark room for a few hours and enjoy some good films? June will be bringing with it a summer of blockbusters, so there’s plenty on for you look forward to.

Things will get kickstarted with Dark Phoenix, the next film from the X-Men franchise starring Game of Thrones‘ Sophie Turner. However, the concert scene is what will be excelling in June with some huge musicians coming to play. The Etihad Stadium is going to be like a revolving door, with Spice Girls, Muse and Metallica all playing there in June.

Manchester Arena is keeping up with some big hitters as well, including the Backstreet Boys and Westlife for that ultimate throwback, as well as Mumford & Sons, Eagles, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
