Garbage became a commercial success in the 90s with their eponymous debut album receiving widespread critical acclaim, going double platinum in the UK, US and Australia. Singles like ‘Stupid Girl’ and ‘Only Happy When It Rains’ dominated airplay, with their second album ‘Version 2.0’ smashing the UK chart and earning two Grammy nominations.
Their success lead them to co-produce and perform the theme song for the nineteenth James Bond Movie ‘The World Is Not Enough’, but it didn’t last out as their third album ‘Beautiful Garbage’ was released to lacklustre reviews and so the group quietly disbanded. They got back together for their fourth album ‘Bleed Like Me’ in 2005, undergoing a few more hiatus’ throughout the years.
