Felicity Ward

Unlike most comedians, Felicity Ward began dabbling in stand up shows after appearing on TV in the Australian sketch comedy show, ‘The Ronnie John’s Half Hour’. She later performed her first solo gig at Melbourne Fringe in 2008, winning the title of ‘Best Newcomer’, from which her career escalated.

Her debut solo show ‘Ugly As A Child Variety Show’ was well-received in Australia and the UK. Beyond Melbourne Fringe in 2008, Ward performed the same show at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She received more nominations, winning the ‘Mervyn Stutter’s Spirit of the Fringe’ in Edinburgh, and sold out shows in both regions. Her 2011 show ‘Honest’ continued her success, winning ‘Best Local Act’ at Sydney’s Time Out Comedy Festival Awards.

Ward’s shows are often informed by her personal life, including her open struggle with anxiety, depression and irritable bowel syndrome. She blends banter with funny sound effects. bizarre expressions and comical stories to leave audiences in stitches.

After securing numerous titles and awards for her solo work, Ward returned to the screen with TV appearances in The Inbetweeners 2, and The John Bishop Show. She continues to perform live comedy, and has been working the UK club circuit since relocating in 2013.
