About

Welsh group Stereophonics are known for tracks such as ‘The Bartender and the Thief’, ‘Just Looking’ and ‘Handbags and the Gladrags’. The latter was popularised by being the soundtrack to British TV show The Office starring Ricky Gervais. Stereophonics have sold over 10 million copies worldwide, and had several top ten singles in their career, as well as seven UK number one albums. It’s no wonder tickets to see the Stereophonics live are high in demand. The band’s live shows have always been impressive, particularly as headliners at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds and V Festival. Stereophonics are considered one of Britain’s best live bands, praised for sounding just as good on stage as they do in the studio. Many of their shows have sold out of tickets quickly, leaving fans eager for more. Luckily, the group composed of Kelly Jones, Richard Jones, Adam Zindani, James Morrison and touring member Tony Kirkham continue to delight fans. Stereophonics continue to create music and celebrate new albums with UK or world tours. Their latest album ‘Kind’ was released in October 2019, and came with news of a UK and Ireland tour for the spring and summer of 2020. The tour will see Stereophonics play at huge stadiums like London’s O2 Arena, Aberdeen P&J Live, Birmingham Arena, and Manchester Arena, as well as two nights at their home city at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena. Stereophonics formed in 1992, but rose to prominence after being the first band to sign to Richard Branson’s new label V2. Their debut album Word Gets Around was released in 1997, which hit number 6 in the UK album charts. But it was their second album Performance and Cocktails that gave Stereophonics their first number one album, which went Platinum within three weeks. From the start of the millennium onward the group saw overwhelming success, selling out tours and dominating charts. With news of their new tour, Stereophonics show no sign of slowing down. Follow Stereophonics on TickX to make sure you don’t miss out on tickets to see the most successful Welsh band of all time play in a city near you.
