In 2014 Hyukoh released their debut EP ‘20’, working the underground circuit in Seoul, South Korea and selling out small venues. Their success ballooned quite slowly, until they participated in the widely popular Korean variety show ‘Infinity Challenge’ in 2015, shooting them into the forefront of Korean media and the general public. Soon they were household names, charting in the top 10 of the Billboard World Albums Chart with their second mini album ‘22’, and they became the first act to sign to Korean rapper Tablo’s independent label HIGHGRND, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment. In 2017 the group released their first full album ‘23’, with their title track “Tomboy” placing second on all of Korea’s major charts, and the album hit 6th on Billboard’s World Albums.
