About

Fall Out Boy was founded out of Chicago's hardcore punk scene, with guitarist Joe Trohman and bassist Pete Wentz first forming the band as a pop-punk side project, soon inducting rhythm guitarist and vocalist Patrick Stump and drummer Andy Hurley as well. The four became an underground success in 2003 thanks to their debut album 'Take This to Your Grave', quickly building a large fanbase. Their major breakthrough was in 2005 with 'From Under the Cork Tree' , with the two singles 'Sugar, We're Goin Down' and 'Dance, Dance' becoming global hits. Their next albums carried on their success, with 'Infinity on High' and 'Save Rock and Roll' becoming fundamental to pop-punk/rock music. The group will be returning with 'Mania' in early 2018, and are setting out on tour in support of the upcoming album.
