His various appearances on topical TV show Mock the Week demonstrated that he was born for comedy, winning Best Comnpere at the 2006 Chortle Awards. Russell has built a strong relationship with BBC working on many different projects throughout radio as well as TV. Russell has also enjoyed a successful career in live comedy stand up, with his fan base growing to an all-time high, Russel will go on his first ever world tour in 2017.
