About

The rockers famous for their painted faces and who ‘Rock and Roll All Nite’ have been making records for over four decades. Kiss released their self-titled debut album back in 1974, and went on to sell over 100 million records across the globe. They are recognised as one of the best-selling bands in history, where their trademark image and genre-defining sound have arguably contributed to their overwhelming success. The heavy-metal, heavy-rock band have released a string of successful tracks over the years, including ‘Detroit Rock City’, ‘I Was Made for Lovin’ You’ and ‘Black Diamond’. They claimed their influence came from the likes of Alice Cooper, Slade and New York Dolls, but also praised artists such as The Beatles and Eric Clapton. Famed among metal music fans, the group have won 16 awards from the Metal Edge Readers’ Choice Awards between 1996 and 2000. Kiss have put their name to over 3,000 products, including Hello Kitty! And have appeared on everything from The Voice to Scooby Doo. Despite changes in their members, the current formation have been a unit since 2002, with Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons leading the band from inception. Having only been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, it seems Kiss still have much to offer for future generations.
