The journey to becoming one of the world's most successful musicians began for Paul McCartney at the tender age of 15, where he joined John Lennon's band the Quarryman and changed the future of music forever.

By 1960 the band had adopted the name The Beatles and were well on their way to all out success with their first hit 'Love Me Do' becoming popular in 1963, kickstarting the fan hysteria known as "Beatlemania". Underwear was thrown, girls swooned, and the four young men released music that would go on to become historical in the form of 'Revolver' and 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'. Throughout their decade together, there was rarely a time the band wasn't dominating the charts and earning awards, but gradually the four grew apart and the band dissolved by 1970.

That was the same year McCartney went on to release his eponymous solo debut album, going straight to #1 in the US, soon following with a new band 'Wings' with his wife Linda, Denny Seiwell and Denny Laine for another decade. Throughought, McCartney maintained a lucrative solo career, continuing to release albums until today, with a new album 'Egypt Station' due out this September.
