South Korean pop-stars turned global success have been dominating the music industry recently, their smooth pop tracks quickly dominating music charts and the hearts of fans alike. They debuted in 2014 with 'Dark & Wild', popularised by the fact that many of their songs were written by themselves in partnership with hit wordsmith Pdogg, soon following it up with 'Wings', their critically acclaimed second album that made way for mainstream success.
The 'Wings' era saw the group quickly garner attention from countries across the globe, winning Artist of the Year at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards (the first artist not from the 'Big Three' - SM, YG and JYP to do so). Now the group have entered into a third era of 'Love Yourself: Tear' their third studio album out in May, following leader and rapper RM's collaboration with rock band Fall Out Boy this year.
Members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook form the power group BTS, ranked #1 on Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list and famed for their large social media presence, having also won the Top Social Artist Award at the Billboard Music Awards. The members have made several forays into solo work also, with both RM, Suga and J-Hope all releasing solo EPs.
