The UK's second largest city, known as 'The workshop of the world' for the great role it played during the Industrial Revolution, has much more to offer than its industrial legacy. Birmingham is home to several major cultural institutions that aim to rival their equivalents down in London.

Easter Weekend
in Birmingham
Last updated on 18th January 2019

The Easter weekend is as popular in the West Midlands as it is anywhere else in the country as people enjoy their four consecutive days off. Birmingham offers the perfect location to do that as the city is packed full of gigs, parties and shows across all four days.

With no work to worry about on Monday, it'd almost be rude not to go out and party all night long in Birmingham this Easter. Whether you're looking to dance to soul classics at the swanky Nightowl or gaze over the city with cocktails from the Mill's rooftop garden, the city's club nights are waiting for you - after you head to a supersized gig at the Arena Birmingham or a sweaty indie gig at the  Hare and Hounds, that is.

For those looking to pace themselves over the Easter weekend, look no further than the Alexandra, Birmingham Hippodrome and Birmingham Repertory Theatre for an intimate evening out laughing along to comedy or swooning at operas and musicals. Birmingham's Vue, Odeon and Cineworld cinemas will of course be showcasing the latest Easter blockbuster films for all the family to enjoy.
