Ed Sheeran has shared footage of himself playing music as a child as a part of Hope and Homes for Children's campaign 'End the Silence', where many musicians have come together in a series of short interviews where they talk about the music that means the most to them. The project aims to create the world's largest 'online musical memory time capsule'.
In Sheeran's musical memory, he explores sitting in the back of his parent's car listening to Van Morrison and The Chieftains, as well as sharing various clips of his childhood playing the piano and more. Watch his video testimony below:
The campaign aims to "end the silence" that exists for millions of children in orphanages around the world, with the UK government pledging to double every pound donated towards the charity by December 27th. Others joining Sheeran in supporting the campaign are Gorillaz' Damon Albarn, Emeli Sande, Paloma Faith, Anne Marie, KT Tunstall and Elton John, who eloquently said: "There should never be silence in a child's life."
