The much-anticipated new musical from Tim Firth and Gary Barlow tells the story of five young girls who grew up to the sound of their boyband heroes.
The musical follows the girls 25 years on, reuniting thanks to the soundtrack of their lives, and it’s been previewing since Friday night at the Manchester Opera House.
But if you read the description of the musical anywhere, it explicitly says that Take That will not be performing, or so that’s what fans at Monday night’s show thought…
The cast were taking their bows after performing the final medley of Take That’s hits, when star Andy Williams walked on stage and said: “Shall we do that again? I think we can do even better than that”.
Then, to the audiences surprise, Mark Owen wandered on stage to sing ‘Hold Up a Light’, soon joined by his bandmates Howard Donald and Gary Barlow to sing ‘Shine’. Take a look at the full video below:
The musical is playing at the Manchester Opera House right now, and will be embarking on tour around the country after September 30th. Find & compare all dates and tickets below to make sure you get the cheapest deal for you. You never know, Take That may make another surprise appearance!
