Legendary heavy metal band have announced another huge European tour in support of their 2016 album Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, due to visit the UK in June 2019.
The tour will see the four-piece visit Slane Castle, Dublin on June 8th, Etihad Stadium in Manchester on June 18th, and London's Twickenham Stadium on June 20th, with the tour kicking off in Lisbon on May 1st, 2019. For the first time ever, Metallica will be visiting Trondheim in Norway, Hämeenlinna in Finland, and Tartu in Estonia, and they'll have support provided by Ghost and Bokassa.
Hardwired... to Self-Destruct is the band's tenth studio album, released in November of 2016 as a double album. It was their first album in over eight years since the release of Death Magnetic, marking the longest gap between albums in their career.
The album topped charts in nearly 60 countries and became their six consecutive album to debut at #1, selling over 5 million copies worldwide.
